Even with high flow filters and 4" exhausts, how much restriction does the intercooler cause? It seems like a long way around a lot of corners to get the air into the intake. Can the intercooler be a choke point for air flow? Just wonderin'. Thanks

Yes, there is some restrictions from the bends and stuff for the intercooling, but generally the benfits outwiegh the bad things. Big benefits are the boost pressure and the cooling effect. Boost from the turbo will just ram the air through, its not like you're depending on vacumn to get the air into the intake. And the intercooling cools the intake air and makes the diesel run more efficient.....

There are some model year intercoolers that are better and can be swapped out. Like a 24-valve intercooler to replace the 12 valve one. Not sure what it does, but I've heard that it improves airflow... . (better design?).
