Intercooler question

My Dad is looking to buy a Dodge Cummins & I want to make sure he gets one that is intercooled.

What was the first year Dodge started intercooling the Cummins?

All the 1992 and later models are intercooled. I believe the start was 1991. 5 or at least the latter 1991's. The 1998. 5 and up 24V's have a larger capacity intercooler then any of the 12V's. Larry

This gives me a starting point. My Dad has always liked the first gen. but I wanted to make sure he got a intercooled one.

I dont want to split hairs, but they started intercooling them on Jan 1 '91 to meet a new Egotistical Pinhead Agency emission requirements. So most 91s were intercooled. What is your dad looking for? I have a 92 4x4 R/C 5 spd for sale high miles and kinda ugly, but reliable, and priced right.
