I found a 93 350 in a local auto parts yard, and managed to get it at a good price only to find out that it has holes in it due to corrosion... would it be wise to try and fix/re core it or return it and go to Banks for new parts.

never having seen a Banks unit, I wounder how they are different? I guess I am starting to think that by the time I re core it, put in a different radiator, and all that a banks unit will be about paid for.

Any opinions from those who have a bit more experience in this, will be greatly appreciated.

So I just talked to a local radiator shop. the fella, means well, I am sure, and after hearing my explanation of the corrosion, asked 'well does it matter if it leaks a little?'. Then he suggested I try epoxy. I suspect that is the method they use to repair radiators... may be I will not have a choice in this adventure.

JDMills, Call up Nascar Mark at piers and talk to him they can get a million mile warranty intercooler for way cheaper than banks.

I know a guy round here has an intercooler from a 92 or 93 that he offered to me for $100. Said he'd haev to find it. PM me if you're interested, and I can run down there this weekend and see if he'd hunt it up and get it tested. I'm looking to get a 2nd gen cooler- have the tubing, boots, and soon to have intake horn, why not the bigger cooler?
