Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) intercooler swap

Hello,

I would like to put a 24v intercooler in my 1998 12v. Is there any certain year of 24v intercooler I should buy?

I talked to somone at MM03, Blair Pine, if I recall, who did the swap. He said it didn't help.

Any 24 valve will work (98. 5-2002). I just did the swap, gained 10 hp and EGT's dropped. Back to back runs with no other changes.



It is a bolt in with no other parts needed. You will need to bend the AC lines a little to get it to swing out of the way but the fun part was lifting the radiator high enough (without draining or disconnecting hoses) to get the intercooler out as the hose fittings trap it around the radiator.

I did the swap.....



It was a pain - but I just keep telling myself that it was worth it.



At least this way - Deo has a 2nd Gen. 12-valve intercooler to play with. :-laf
