Archived Intercooler trouble

Since I killed my turbo, I am going to have to take my intercooler off and get it cleaned out. CAN YOU GET IT OFF WITHOUT REMOVING THE CONDENSER? Please let me know... I am going to need to do this tomorrow to save some Money! If any of y'all have done this, please give me some feedback! would much appreciate it!

You should be able to get it off,by removing the bumper. Take the condensor and pull it forward and swing it down out on the drivers side and out of the way. The intercooler should now come out.

Well, My Mother raised me right. :-laf :-laf She always told me that if I do something, either do it right, or dont do it at all. Basically Go big or Go Home! Well, I did it good, alright! ½ the fun is going to be getting the intercooler out with this big brushgaurd on the front. It's bee tack welded, and I am going to see if I can get it out without having to take the front porch off! Anyways, I am working on posting pics on here for y'all! Talk to ya later!

Well, Brushguard had to come off... . went to Home Depot, and feel I have every toy imaginable to man! Ran out of daylight, and must finish tomorrow! Will Keep y'all posted!

Now it appears that the dang radiator has to come out, or move pretty far to get the darn intercooler out!! #@$%! As soon as I get the intercooler cleaned, truck can go back together, till I get my HX40... PDR has been great in help, and support. I highly recommend them to anyone who is having trouble! I got rained out today, so tomorrow I am going to get back at it again!! Will keep y'all updated on the progress!

Chris,, I just PM'd you about the "not-currently-being-used" turbo I have. Hope you get that intercooler cleaned out all right.



BTW, I have no clamps or gaskets for the HX-35 of mine. I do have the Downpipe though

I am cleaning it myself... So far, so good... got the intercooler out, after a lifetime of wrestling with the dang radiator. . It's out now, and ½ the compressor was in there in shreds!! :--) :--) I am letting it sit for now, and I am going to rinse it out here again later on, when the mosquitos are not so bad... . Will keep y'all posted!!!
