Hi,

I need new rubber couplings for my intercooler inlet and outlet tubes. . The guys at the three Dealerships I called, haven't a clueWhat I'm talking about...

Do I need factory ones or are you guys using a alternative hose?. would radiator type hose work?..... What do you guys use?... Thanks...

Chuck

Don't use regular radiator hose. It can't take the temperature or the pressure. PDR has silicone hose specifically for this purpose. I have it installed on my truck and it works well. If you really want silicone hump hoses they may have those as well, or you can get them from such vendors as Turbonetics.

Cheers,

Sean

I am pretty sure PDR carries both the silicone hose and the hump hoses. If memory serves me right an 18 inch piece is enough for the connections. I really should replace mine also. It is my understanding that it is quite a job getting the new hoses on, but a little hairspray seems to help.

2 5" pieces and 2 4" pieces for a total of 18". Real easy to cut with a utility knife. Just make sure you cut straight. PDR does sell it and I would guess they routinely have it available.

I had heard that it was really tough to get on but the tubing slid on relatively easy. Getting to the lower boots can be a little awkward.

Is this straight high temp silicon hose from Piers also used for radiators?. . There a diesel shop close by that has the straight 2. 5" silicon high temp radiator hose. . Pricey but I could get rolling today... Thanks for all the info guys... ... ... ... ..... Chuck
