Intercooler

The other day I noticed a spot on the intercooler behind the grill. The paint has turned loose and left a 3" spot of exposed aluminum.

If I repaint it, Do I need a high temp paint to cover it? Wonder how it would look if I stripped the rest and left the natural shine of the cast?

I think a natural aluminum intercooler would be nice looking. As for the type of paint, I don't think you need anything special. I'd buy a can of black engine paint and there should be no worries.
