Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Interested in Trans Swap?

This may sound a little crazy but hang with me for a minute. I'm just putting out the feelers to see that "if it comes to it" anyone would be interested in working out a deal for swapping out their perfectly working stock trans for my ATS setup.



My rig goes in the paper tomorrow so we'll see if I get a buyer however, if nothing pans out within a week or 2 and I have to trade the truck or sell for lower than PP book I'll get the big "zero" for the 5k+ I invested in the trans a year and a half ago... . I don't want to let that happen.



Not sure how my sale will pan out but if you think you'd be interested in coming to Vegas for a swap out plus some cash let me know. At least if I get tired of waiting for a buyer to give me a little bit of my 8k invested in aftermarket stuff someone cool (TDR member) will get use of a decent transmission.

If you are really commited to selling the truck then i would suggest pulling off your aftermarket parts and getting the truck ready before listing it for sale. someone that comes out ot test drive the truck needs to dirve it under the condition it will be in when they purchase it. they shouldnt have to wait, you shouldnt be rushing to get things done etc. it just looks bad.

If I read this right. I think he is trying to sell the truck with the mods for a better price than what a trade in would bring him. If the truck doesn't sell fast then he wants to de-bomb it to recoop some of his $$$ before trade to a dealer.

if that's the case all you have to do is get the prospective buyer strapped in and take them for a ride. shoot, you should be selling tickets for the event, not advertising free rides.

My son has an 01. 5 auto daily driver with a good trans. He's been talking about some upgrades, but don't know where the trans is on the $ priority list. We are local Vegas so working out the logistics is easy.

Exactly. Also, I have pulled some stuff off it already and that stuff is for sale in the classifieds, most of it already has people against it.
