A couple of weeks ago I was at a dealer looking at the 03s and I noticed a white 3500 all dressed out with aftermarket conversion package. I walked over and on the side of the truck was painted "Dr. Performance". The salesman came over and started talking and I told him my opinion of Dr. P and informed him that the warranty would be void with all the engine mods. He said "oh no, it's under full warranty. " I just told him . . "yea right".

The quick way to shut down that conversation is to ask for the warranty guarantee in writing.

The warranty may in fact be good... . just at that dealership . Just don't throw a rod or break anything away from that dealership. Best to get the "coverage" in writing and be sure to read that really small microscopic print at the bottom of the contract.

I certainly don't believe DC would sanction that type of dealer activity. After market dress-up or hitch products perhaps, but not engine mods!

I guess Dr. P has one last wheezing gasp left? He seems to be out of business in the Northwest. He used to give his treatment to the trucks at Dave Smith Motors in Kellog ID but that relationship is long gone. They claimed full warranty too.
