Several weeks ago I replied to a very similar topic on RV.net and was told that I was just trying to start an argument. Haven't been back there yet.
However, during that exchange someone else did reply with an obvious but interesting observation. I don't recall the exact wording but the general idea is that big oil is a monopoly operating in a free market. The free market means that we are free to go elsewhere if we don't like the producer's product, pricing, corporate motives, politics, etc... But there aren't any alternatives to OIL -monopoly (yes I think that organic alternatives need to be developed and may be in the future, but if I want to travel today and keep my warranty intact I need to feed the monopoly)
Just my 2 cents. Just an observation.
