Guys,(and Gals) The hard plastic interior of the 03 is starting to look a little ratty, I do not like Armoral (sp) for my reasons!:-laf any suggestions to bring back the new truck look?

Bill

Haven't tried it, but how would Pledge work? Shouldn't be all greasy like Armorall, but would clean the plastics to look like new. Plus, it would smell all lemon fresh inside:-laf

I used to use Lexol pH leather cleaner on mine, but they make a Vinyl cleaner specifically for that, which should contain the plastic lubricants* that keep the dash color and flexibility. The Lexol products are top of the line IMHO.

*Neighbor plastic engineer explained to me how "Back to Black" and similar plastic conditioners work. Plastic materials have a certain amount of lubrication built into them. Over time, the lubricants evaporate out, causing the discoloration and cracking. When you use the proper cleaners and things like "Armor All" and "Back to Black" you are replacing the evaporated lubricants. That is what restores the color and pliability of the plastics on your vehicle.

Bottom line: Pledge, etc. don't have the proper lubricants built into them. I think Armor All has a non-shiny version that doesn't collect dust. You might look into that, too.

Maybe I'll switch up, McGuires has a no shine moisturizing cleaner seen at checker

I use the Lexol products. The Vinylex does a fantastic job on all the dash and other vinyl/plastic parts leaving a rich shine and finish. It is not a dirt magnet like Armorall. It also seems to last a long time.
