2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Interior Door Panels

I just got leather seats for my truck and was wondering if anyone knows what to do with the cloth part of the panels. Can you remove that part or can I just get new door panels that dont have it on it. Any help would be gretly appreciated

I had mine off a few months ago. IIRC, the cloth parts can be removed and recovered with matching leather.

IIRC, they are held on with little metal tabs bent over like an envelope clasp. But CharlieFoxtrot is right, they can be removed and recovered if you remove the entire door panel.



As long as you're doing all this, and it sounds very nice, you might consider having your leather insert pieces custom embroidered with whatever trips yer trigger. A personalized touch.

The best way would be to visit an upholstery shop and choose your material. It won't take much. After cutting it to the proper size using the original as a pattern, either install it or take to an embroidery shop and choose from thousands of ready-made & programmed clip art designs or design your own.
