Interior dome light won't go off. 2016 Cummins. How do I know if I have the battery monitoring option? Just installed two new batteries and simple OBD won't clear engine malfunction indicator.

What codes are you reading?

Stupid question did you accidently turn the dome light switch, either dimmer switch or pressing the dome light on?

You might try disconnecting the batteries for 30-60 minutes and it doesn't hurt to put the positive and negative leads together during that period to bleed of residual charge.

Is the red door-open indicator on the dash lit? Maybe a door switch or its wiring is bad and it thinks a door is open?

Yes, check the dome light switch. I somewhat regularly hit it with my knee and turn it on.
