I posted earlier about TPS and interior light problem I am having. I am pretty well convinced the TPS is faulty as the symtoms are just like everyone else has described. :( The interior lights I would still like some feed back on if anyone has any ideas. The lights will not go out and I pulled the fuse to keep from running down the battery. Could it be a short somewhere, a messed up little black box hiding somewhere. I am open to any suggestions. I need to take it in for a oil, and fuel filter change and would like to have a few ideas as to what could be the problem before I get worked over by the service department. I will get a new TPS from Cummins and install that myself. Thanks Guys :D

Jerry, the dome and map lights use a ground return system, this means that a seperate switched ground wire is used to operate these lamps, if this wire grounds out the lights will not switch off. As you know there are two door switches, from your previous post it would seem as though the drivers side is working, check the passenger side one as well. You could also try unplugging the headlamp switch and see if that works. This may sound stupid, but the dimmer part of the light switch turns on the interior lamps at the end of it's travel(rotary), try just dimming the instrument lamps a bit a see if your problem goes away.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went out this evening and fooled with the door switches and that is the problem. I have it working again now. I believe that some how one of the switches was grounding and causing the problem. Thanks again.
