While I was cleaning the interior of the truck the other day I came across a tear in the carpet by the drivers door sill right in front of the seat:mad: . With the truck only being a few months new you can imagine how upset I was when I found it. The tear runs along the door sill for about 6 - 8". Has anyone else found this? Is this something that DC will replace? Or will it be turned back to me and say that i must have cut it? This is the second truck that I have purchased from this dealer and the service has been great so far. Now that I have found the problem something will need to be done to coorect the problem.

 Sorry about your luck, that stinks. It sounds like an overzealous porter may have cut the carpet when the plastic protective cover was removed when it was prepped. Anyway, your dealer should take care of it if they are any good, as long as you don't have any accessories that were installed inside where the sill had been removed then they may try to bring ther blame back on you. Good Luck...

Has anyone replace there carpet? The 1st owner of my truck had a can of Pool Chlorine tip over and eat through the carpet... Isn't that what the BED is for? Anyway, just wondering if anyone has replaced and if they got it from the Dealer?

Darren,

Replacing the carpet it straight forward... remove the seats, console and the sill plates. On my '95 reg-cab I have already replaced the headliner, and the carpet is next on the list. I will be buying it from the dealer simply because I know it will fit with no problems.

Is this an X shaped cut? I ask as there is such a cut several inches rearward of the front of the seat frame... it's for the power seat track wiring.
