Howdy,

I was looking into fixing my interior up a little bit, and wanted some feedback from ya'll.

My carpet is a little rough, so I was deciding whether to go with vinyl or not, I'm not the easiest on carpet with all the grease/dirt/water etc... Auto Custom Carpets has molded vinyl for about 165. 00. I would also get the sound deadener either way; carpet or vinyl.

I also need to get my seat recovered, the foam is starting to sift out of the seat :( Never had one recovered, figure it'll be a couple hundred bucks?

While I had all that out, I want to cover the back cab wall with some kind of insulation to keep it from being to noisy and tinny sounding.

Any suggestions?Ideas? Thanks

Steven

Steven,

I've had vinyl flooring before and it was great, since it was a work truck. Just pick up the big pieces of trash, turn the hose on low, and leave the doors open to dry. When I did get a truck with carpet, I got some of those rag rugs that are real cheap to keep it from getting trashed.

As to seats, you might do better pricewise to find some replacements. I had the buckets in my 93. They were still in good shape but the way they are built makes them too uncomfortable for my long trips. I replaced them with 2nd gen buckets. You can have my old ones if you want. They don't have the armrests on them. I could meet you down the Parkway or I-77 some weekend if you do.

And the stuff for the cab, I read about some kind of spray on sound/insulation stuff, but can't remember the name. Perhaps it was called Lizard Skin?? Anyone else hear about this? Or have I finally gone off my rocker?

Good luck!
