I have been getting a loss of power in the morrings once and a while. It will run but is like the accelerator petal is not getting pushed. It also has a 1693 that will not go away. Now today at full boost it was dropping out once and awhile. Could it be a bad map? Or what?

Sounds like what happened to me on my 2000. It was a faulty Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APPS), or it used to be called the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). It's located in the engine compartement inside the throttle assembly which is directly above the injection pump. You might help it with some contact cleaner on the wiring harneses or take the plastic cover off and see if there is anything that could be cleaned up in there as well. Not sure if it's covered under the 100k engine warranty or not.
