All, for the last couple of weeks, my truck is running good some days, and less good others... . I can tell a difference in power (approx 10-20%)... . on bad days it feels flat... .

A. It's not the fuel, as it happens on the same tank of gas

B. Temps have been fluxuating +/- 20 degrees... but I dont think there's any consistancy.

Is the AC Sensor Wire Chaffing (from another post) applicable for 05's...

Could it be a short on some other wire/elec? / Fuel Pump issue?

I'll take it to the dealer, but we all know where that leads (nowhere)... . what could I have them check? Any thoughts appreciated.

is your transfer pump working properly, check the pressure and the volume, this is crittical foor your rig to run. This test is the first one that any dodge tech is advised to do before any part can be ordered. p. s I am a dodge deisel tech at a dealership, hope I can help you

No, becasue it'll run better tommorrow or the next day... . its like every other couple of days??? non consistant... . wouldnt the fuel filter be consistantly poor power?

No, a bad/clogged fuel filter would not necessarily be consistently bad. I'd replace it first, then see what happens.

I agree with Ryan, if your truck runs funny and you have more than 2 or 3K on the filter, change it. I've had mine clog that fast and the symptoms are not always the same.

Good luck,

Scotty

OK Guys, will do on the fuel filter/air filter just to eliminate variables..... going to do it early next week when I get my guages installed.

Another observation: Normally when cruising on the freeway at a constant speed my overhead shows 22-23, where as it used to show 19-20.....

In city driving it shows 7-9 where as is used to show 12-14... .

Yes these are rough estimations, and I know the overhead is not accurate, but it should be consistant... . and at least act as a dummy indicator... .

Wierd!
