03 2500 has codepo341 and tach that is not steady jump 4 5 hundred rpm replaced cam position sensor with new cummins part. . any body elese have this issue help!
There is a common issue with the 06's where the dash circuit board fails, not sure if that's what your issue is or not but it would be worth looking into.
Swap the sensor with the crank position sensor (same part) to see if it follows the part. Also make sure no fuel or other contamination is getting into the contacts and that there is no damage to the wire harness.
A bad instrument cluster is rare with 03's but anything is possible.
both crank and cam sensors are new checked connection at cam sensor looks ok can follow skip with scanner watching datastream did diagnostic check on dash all looks good, thinking of overlaying signal wire to ecm
do you have any programers or boxes on the motor? if so diconnect them too. i had a bad high pressure fuel gauge harness mess my fuel injection up because it tapped into the rail sensor.
