I have my 100 gal AUX fuel tank in the bed set up for gravity feed. I ran a 1/2 inch hose from a ball valve through the oval hole in the front of the bed down to the vent hose located between the filler neck and the tank. Spliced in a brass "T" and hose clapped it.
I usually leave the valve in the open position, and fill when I need to from the AUX tank. I notice sometimes I'll have a drip or two on the drive way, but not all the time. Maybe a few drips per month. I looked on top of the tank, and noticed that it was damp where the hoses and wires enter the tank through a round opening.
Is this anything to worry about? Is it normal? Is something wrong with the seal at the top of the tank? Am I going to come out one morning and find a hundred and thirty five gallons of fuel running down the street?
Has anyone had any experience with this?
Thanks, M.
