Intermittant "Hummmm" when A/C is on

Anybody else have an 06 that has a "Hummm" noise coming from under the hood when the A/C is on??? It was 87 degrees here today in So Cal and I noticed this. You can hear it in the cab, and not as loud when hood is up and the truck is idling with AC on. You can only hear it at stop signes/lights. *** soon as your up to speed it is drowned out. ANy ideas???

Fan clutch kicking in perhaps.

Compressor running/cycling VS not running @ times. The clutch cycles on and off as part of normal operation... . I would also check for hose vibration.

I have not used the A/C in my truck yet... :-laf

I`m not much of an A/C lover unless it`s really hot. :--)

You guys are probably right in your diagnoses. . Of all my 3rd gens I have not heard it until this one, but from reading this forum I know the 06 has been reported to have AC issues. Mine blows COLD COLD COLD which is good. Thanks for the replies

Think the A/C issue`s your referring to are related to blend door actuators. Not the compressor.
