95 2500 auto Ocassionally the vehicle slows down when the cruise is set. Other times the cruise will just drop out. Turning the off/on switch to off and then on will allow the speed to be reset on occasion. Other times I have to wait for a period of time and then retry. Have checked the TPS, brakelight switch, and vacuum supply. All seem to be in good shape. Any Suggestions???

Brother in Law had a similiar problem. Dealer was going to replace some cruise control systems, but because of quote price, he took it to a private shop. , They found it was a sending unit (cant tell you which). With a new sending unit problems went away.

Probably Vehicle speed sensor.
Vehicle speed sensor located at transmission.
Also check speed control servo its under left(driver's side) battery tray. It has both vacuum and electrical function.
