intermittent high beams

My wife reported a new problem on the 98, it switched from high beams to low beams for a few seconds then recovered. She thought that the blue warning lamp went out also. She is not happy.
Anyone else seen this problem?

1997 4x4 CC 5spd, CPL1553 engine, Horton fan, Sport headlamps, Optima RedTops, 98 shift levers and console... looking for a NV5600.

Who did your Sport headlight conversion, 'cause it sounds like a relay problem to me.
