Intermittent won't start, 2005 Ram

Hi, I just joined and read some good posts on won't start issues.



Can anyone shed any additional light on this one?



Here's the problem my colleague at work is seeing with his `05:

I still have the starting issue… very intermittent and only when the vehicle is warm. Sometimes (most of the time) it starts first try. Other times it acts like its cold and I've forgotten to hit the glow plugs/intake manifold heater, to warm up. The engine just cranks. Frustrating to say the least.



What's interesting is a friend bought the "edge juice" computer for Xmas ... he's been running it on level 3 (very nice when little rice rockets want to race). Consistently getting 21. 2 mpg and no starting problems... maybe once a month or so. last week he set it back to "stock" and yeah it would not start. maybe 7 out of 10 times it would not start. It is back on 3 again. Can't prove that the edge fixes that problem but noticed that it does start.

--Injectors

--Rail Relief Valve

--Fuel Control Actuator

--Lift Pump
