Read to the bottom and look at the destruction map of NYC. This to me seems convincing evidence that the Germans did indeed have a nearly ready atomic bomb and that we captured it first and used it against the Japanese along with our own atomic bomb. This would explain why we had two very different type atomic bombs to drop on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Notice the map of NYC shows ONE aim point, very unusual for a high altitude bomber to drop one bomb. On the penetration range chart (next to the map of NYC) note that these aircraft had the range to reach Baja California.
