I don't know if this is the right place for this thread but so the moderators can move this if they choose to.



I just got off the phone with IOWA80.com because I made an order from them on 12/11/03 and I am still missing pieces of the order. I had ordered a new set of stacks and some miscellaneous pieces to go along with it. Such things as some elbows, and some flex pipe and several clamps. Things that I could have gotten at the local truck stop but figured I would go ahead and order them with the stacks and only use the credit card once. Well all things seemed fine infact almost ahead of schedule at first. I recieved a large portion of my order 10 buisness days into it when I was told not to expect anything for 14 days. So I didn't worry about it. Although I was missing the most important part of the order I didn't worry. When the time was up I called to check on the order and make sure things were OK. I was then told that the stacks weren't in stock when I placed the order and that Dynaflex was making a new set. And that I would have them in my possesion in 2 weeks. So I wasn't to awful upset and went on my merry way. Well the second 2 weeks comes and goes and still nothing. I call again, and was told that they would be shipped in 5 days and that they would be at my doorstep on Jan. 23. Well Fri came and went and nothing. Then this afternoon the 26th I recieved my stacks, however I am still missing some other pieces. The stuff I was going to use to straight pipe my wifes '02. I called AGAIN. And once again I got the song and dance that dynaflex was out of these items and had to make them. So I once again asked when I could expect the rest of my stuff, except this time they flat out said they DON"T KNOW. Now I am really PEEVED (i'm thinking something much worse) I would cancel the order except I have already recieved and paid my credit card bill for this whole thing. And what really chaps my hide is I am just now hearing all this from them on a 3 foot section of FLEXPIPE and TWO 4" lap joint clamps, a month and half after I ordered them. .





The moral of this story is STAY AWAY FROM IOWA 80. They have strung me along and in my opinion screwed me over.



I know that we aren't supposed to bash vendors on here, but I feel when a vendor has "BASHED" a customer it's only right that the customer can warn others of their bad buisness habits.

Get on the horn tommorow and tell them you can give them

more bad publicity in one day than they could get in a year

with your trucking buddys on TDR and othert web sites. :-{}
 
How about calling and getting the rest of the order cancled and have them refund the $$ for those parts.
 
I live within driving distance of them. When I put my 5" system on that I got from www.bigexhaust.com , I had planned on getting a resonator from them (also Dynaflex). They were out of them when I stopped in and they said they were still waiting for their order. It was a month before they got them in. They could be telling you the truth.
 
I don't doubt that IOWA80 is telling the truth, why wouldnt they? They would have to know that conduct like that would get out and hurt buisness. I am just upset that it is taking this long, and the fact that no one there or even dynaflex has said anything and that I am just supposed to sit on my hands and wait on them even though I paid for it already. .

Man what A bummer BUT ALL IS NOT LOST. I had a frend have a similar thing happpen to him when we were building his Roadrunner. There was a foulup back when he ordered all the engine goodies from some joint out in the midwest. HALF the order showed up and he phoned in to ask what was going on with the rest of the order. "We will contact you as soon as we get shipping confirmation from the manufacturer. " O. K no bigie as we had some interior custom restoration to finish up on and we could get the upholstery in as well.



2 weeks went by and he called them saying he had not heard from them and was wondering what the problem was. (Keep in mind this is 4 1/2 weeks into the whole order so the bill was paid) She said that the manufacturer needs 2 more orders to make a complete shipment. Well I thought Bruno was going to explode. So calmly he told her to call them back and do whatever is needed to get the parts out to them.



Meanwhile he called Mastercard and explained the situation. They were tickled pnk to get a complaint and went ahead and reneged or whithdrew the payment authorization. until goods were recieved in full. Well after that he called the place back and explained what he had done calling the vredit card company and man did they suddenly change their tune! a week later he had his stuff! This can work as long as everything you have ordered is on ONE INVOICE or Order.
 
I think dynaflex is the problem. I80 probably dosn't deal with pitily little stuff for pickups that often. They deal with mostly eighteen wheelers.
 
Well considering that all the parts I ordered go to big rigs. Everything was 5" so it's not like I ordered anything out of the norm for them.
