Bio Diesel Day-November 14th

Next Omaha Bombing...

I was wondering if there are any TDR members that could help me install guages... EGT and Boost. I live in Atlantic, IA, but I am usually in Omaha on the weekends. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it -OR- if anyone knows of any reputable diesel performance shops that would do it for a reasonable price, that too would help. Any and all help is appreciated.

Here's a reputable place:

Diesel Specialties of Omaha Inc

13325 B St

Omaha, NE 68144-3611

Phone: (402) 330-0580

I had mine installed by Woodhouse, and they created a mess - I would most definitely not recommend them for that kind of stuff (would recommend them if you're looking to buy a new one; they're grat to deal with, literally!).

The A-pillar mount wasn't put on right, and around the trany temp probe I hade a leak from h*ll. They then "fixed" it and in the process killed my pan. They then gave me a new pan, drilled a hole, and put in a way-too-big pass-through for the probe, so then it read about 20*F too low (only the very tip was in contact with the fluid). I finally had to buy a Mag-Hytec pan to get this fixed...

Even though it was messy, they were rather nice about it, putting in a lot of hours (to fix their mess-up) without charging me for it...

If I had to do it over again, I'd go to Diesel Specialties!

PM me if you want to chat more...

Alain, Mondamin (IA).

I realize that Des Moines is east of you aways but George's Diesel Service in Des Moines does reputable diesel work. Don't know if he would want to install gauges but give him a call. He has always treated me, my dad, my brother, my friends well.

Good guy, likes fords:rolleyes: but makes cummins run good too. He helped my buddy with 2wd first gen pulling truck make it scream!

Or you could come out here and I could point you in the right direction.

Side note, I currently reside near Davenport, but home is Lenox, and Creston is were I went to school. Been to Atlantic several times too!!

Thanks

Thanks for the advice guys, when I get the guages and A-Pillar mount, I will take all of this into consideration. I am originally from Texas, but lived in the Omaha area for about 5 years. I will give Diesel Specialties a call tomorrow to see which guages they reccomend.

Thanks Again,

John:)

Definately take it to George's Diesel, and if you want proof pm me, I will show you some wicked trucks he's worked on and he's pretty straightforward too...

TRUCK WORK TO DO

I live in NW Iowa. Sanborn is the little town. Would like to get some work done on my '95. Haven't decided on which gauges. 3K spring is another job to do. I noticed some have a get together at Omaha area once in awhile. Not sure how much they do on trucks. jps

I'm located in East IA , Its a big state. I think the only thing I'll be "turning" is some polishing towels on my new Fancy Smancy '03. ;)
