Tell ya what, you be here at 7:00 am and we'll go down to Hannible Missouri, fix a tractor, and then I will be glad to help you with your tires!! :-laf

I have a tractor that is down, and the guy is not done planting beans first. Probably not the best day to burn some vacation time.

Will the BP in Fairfield take out of town checks? I have filled up twice there and paid cash both times... hate spending my lunch money on fuel.

Dunno about the BP-I either use the company credit card, my debit card or cash. I use no checks anymore.

I have a rocker arm assembly in a 3126 MUI to install after replaceing the adjuster. The nut came loose and the adjuster backed off letting the setting go way loose, and then it started missing. I/we are hoping that with a new adjuster and setting the injector timing, and checking the valves that it will run ok. Hopefully it does not leak fuel into the coolant later.

The truck will be leaving at around 7:00 am. Hope to be back mid to late afternoon. It will only be about 4-4. 5 hrs of travel and then the rest work.

Black Sport (99-01) with gauges, straight pipe and a big *** front bumper. I was in my car filling up at 60th and EP True when you drove by.

Obviously not much for TDR guys here in IA...

Anyways, a while back, I spotted a red first gen heading toward Keswick. It had a TDR sticker in the back window and had a nice little haze coming out of the pipe. Whoever you are, nice truck!

Did you see this thread? Gathering of diesel heads Are you game in going up to CR this Saturday. You're welcome to ride with me.

Oh yeah, I have a red first gen with a TDR sticker and haze out the pipes, but don't think I was up to Keswick lately.

Let me know about Saturday. Anybody else interested post in the other thread.

Yeah it wasn't your truck, Mike. This had Keokuk county plates and I think it was an auto. The exhaust was a 4" with a turndown on the end.

Do any one you guys live over by Winterset? I drove through there a few weeks back and I seen a reg. cab Dodge/Cummins for sale. When you are on 92 and you get to the four-way stop, if you go north it was a mile or two up the road. I seen it but didn't have time to stop. If any of you guys happen to be in the area and could get the info for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I used to live in Winterset a few years ago for about 2 years. I still have friends in the area if you need a favor called in. What vintage, color, etc? I lived on the main drag and new all the local cummins trucks by the sound of their exhaust when they went by. Let me know if you want somebody to ask about it, get info.

It was a white, 2nd gen. Like I said, I just seen it as I was driving by. It might not even be for sale anymore. If you could find something out, I'd appreciate it. BTW, you'd the get together go? I wasn't able to go, them we had a family emergency that night, so it turned out to bew a pretty sh*tty day.

At the Farm Progress show today I seen a Blue Second Gen Quad Cab short box with a big Cummins decal on the tailgate and a decal that said "It's a Diesel Thing, you wouldn't understand. " Dunno if you are a member, but that is a sweet looking rig.

Also seen MMiller as he was heading up there and I was heading back home. His service truck was at the Cat exhibit.

I didn't make it to the Farm Progress Show this year. :{ Was OTR this week.

Any idea why it was moved back to the Colonies, vs Alleman? Thought it was to stay out by Des Moines when it was in IA.

Not real sure why they moved it back. It used to be in Amana till they moved it up to Alleman. It was def. a good show this year though.

The Amana's want the Progress Show at their place real bad. I don't like having to drive down all the country roads and sitting in traffic to get to the show. When it was north of Des Moines, it was about 1/2 mile off the interstate to where you parked, it was VERY CONVENIENT!!!.

I dropped the F650 off on Sunday. Dad and I went to spectate on Wednesday. Then thursday afternoon my wife, my daughter and I went up to spectate and get the truck. I saw you Terry. ;)

What did you think of the new Challenger articulated 4 wheel drive tractor? I much prefer tracks still.

It was a good show, don't think the attendence was all that good. Wednesday it dried up, but there still wasn't bunches of people like other years.

Are they just a yellow AGCO 4wd tractor, or something completely different?

Were you there in '93? Talk about a mud hole. They still picked corn, even though it was in the mid to high 40s for moisture. The rotary combines handled it well, but the Deere 9000 series mushed up half of the cobs.

Deere also had to pump out about 2-300k gallons of water out of their spot and add about 6' of wood chips in the ring where they showed off the equipment. Still had fun then . :) My uncle ran the Massey 8570 rotary combine that year.

I lived in Solon for 20 yrs, 76-96. Son and Daughter-in-Law still live in IA city along with two twin Grandkids.

Although I am a westerner, (WA) I am very proud of my time in IA. I maintain a close relationship with friends there.

I attended the World Plowing Competition in 88 at the Amanas and at least one Farm Progress show there. I thought the facilities were very good. .
