I have had some problems with the uconnect system in my truck. It seems since I updated the software in my iPhone 4s the music and a radio app that i use a lot won't play properly any more. before it played just fine Software update that I did today didn't make any difference so I'm open to any thoughts or opinions if you have and iPhone with the same problem.

First thanks for the replies, sag2 never go back they need to come forward There is an issue with uconnect customer service said they've not caught up with apples new operating software yet. TRAMPLINEMAN Always USB port. I seen a video last night on using Bluetooth thought I would try that today. I know the AUX port will work, but you lose some volume. The biggest thing is the radio app I need WiFi to use it I do have an iPod for the music. But Like Hilary Clinton I want to carry just one device.

Waiting for Chrysler to catch up with their change might take a while. Apple is very slow to provide data about their software. And before you say it, no FCA can't just hack it, they have to follow the proper channels to get the software info directly from the manufacturer!

Yeah it's a slow process but There's a way to go without going backwards with the operating system on the phone. Bluetooth, or AUX plug will work for now.

I have no issue connecting with Apple's newest software. You most likely have more an issue with the phone. When you upgrade your software for the iPhone, it stacks the new software on top of the old. Since you have an iPhone 4, you probably have at 3 different operating systems on there. The fix is pretty simple but takes two hours. Do a manual back up of your phone to your computer, not just a synch (10-20 minutes). Then hit the restore iPhone button. This completely erases the memory and only installs the latest version of the software. It will then ask if you want to set the phone up as a new iPhone or from a previous one. Select your previous iPhone and it will configure it exactly to where it was when you did the manual back up on it.

My wife had issues with her iPhone 5s after the last system upgrade. Battery dying in 45 minutes and really, really hot. Had to put it in the fridge. I thought it was a failed battery. $79 later, new battery but still the same problem. They did the above procedure to her phone except through icloud and it fixed her problem immediately. It's like she has a new phone again. Great battery life and faster. The downside to doing it through iCloud is that it doesn't set your phone up identically to the way it was before the procedure. Lots of re-downloading stuff and set up. Doing it through your computer is so much faster.

I did this to my iPhone and iPad yesterday and have noticed a significant improvement in both. Hope this helps.

Thanks Wertles
Do I do this thru iTunes sounds like it would be the ticket. I also have an iPad4 fairly new sees to act the same way may need to try it with that as well I think there's been an update on it as well. I will give it a try and let you know how it goes.

Well I tried the what you shared it didn't work. So I did try bluetooth it worked just fine. So thats how I will play the radio app.
