Found a fix for my Otterbox Defender Belt Holster falling off

Got my Irrigation Problems Solved I posted awhile back about getting something like this going a Pal in Cal gave me a call and said its yours. He ran the John Deere 4 cyl motor and tossed the end of the hose in his swimming pool and fired it up about 1800 gal a min pump rate.

recurtis reducing a short length of pipe (like 1 size smaller) has a very small effect on the psi or gpm (were talking on the pressured side, if we are talking about the suction side-then yes it does affect it like 3 times more. )

Big,looks like a 6 inch trash pump, with that cleanout on the volute. may have been used to pump I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER:-laf at one time

My former job (pipefitter/welder) we were contracted by the EPA to assemble a water treatment plant to facilitate the dredging of a section of river that was deemed contaminated. They had a large floating dredge on the river that would suck the sediments off the bottom and send it through a 14" hdpe pipe 2 miles up stream to the water treatment plant where the sediment was filtered into huge 50' x 150' bladders, then the water was treated in the plant and then returned to the river via a 16" hdpe line. The return line didnt need any pumps as it was all down hill and was pushed out of the water treatment plant, but there were 3 large booster pumps to get everything from the river up to the plant. Each booster pump was powered by a Cat C15 engine :D. Talk about some power it didnt matter what kind of junk that dredge sucked up if it was big enough to fit inside a 14" pipe those pumps were going to make sure the line didnt plug off :-laf

This set up came from Santa Maria Ca it was a pump that ran sprinklers like BIG RAIN BIRDS on crops. The pal that found it for me has a brother that runs a farm there and found it for him. I have more pictures of it on computer but cant get them off like these two dont know why. They fired it up in the field it was hooked up thru 5inch soft line to aluminum tubing with 2 ft high risers for the rain birds to sit on. the intake was in a irrigation canal when it was running he said that the sprinklers were on for as far as he could see them. I have a picture of that but like I said I cant get it off the Email on to my computer. Its a 4 cyl John Deere dont know anything more than that. He said when he dropped the line in his pool and fired it up it was like you see it in the picture it shot water across the street and into the neighbors yard without hitting the street in the middle. His brother said the output was some where near 1500 to 1800 gal per min depending on line size. He's loading it on his flatbed and leaving Monday on his loop from LA to Wa,Id,MT so it will be here in a few days.

That is a PUMP, and you will speak to it with respect and honor (grin). Makes the pumps I have been around toys. Better have a canal or river to put the suction end in.

Behind our place is the Clearwater River and a pretty big tributary of the Swan River on another side so plenty of water I need to get the irrigation pipe before its a GO. We have to run to Indianapolis IN in a few weeks to move our Daughter to MT, I checked out Hastings Irrigation in Hastings NB and could make a swing to pick some up on the way back from Indy. They had a pretty good deal on it so worth a look see anyway. :I think that this would be enough water I HOPE :-laf You have NO IDEA HOW GOOD THAT LOOKS after a few days of GRINDING YOUR A** INTO GOUND CHUCK on a MULE. home sweet home

Big. You got lots of irons in the fire. Keeps a man busy.

Wayne I ask questions for 4 households, I ask on TDR because it seems as thou there is QUITE A BIT OF DIVERSITY AMOUNG JOBS AND INTRESTRESTS on this site. Some of the other Forums that I ask and they SHOULD know the answer to it HAVE NO CLUE.

Keeping busy is what keeps people young I think, If you sit around and ponder WHAT WENT WRONG, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO, And thinking TO MUCH about the Government problems you turn into an OLD CODGER that sits around and cries about WHY ME!!!

This project (iron) has been in the fire for quite some time just needed to put info to some that could be on the look out for such things.

Got the irrigation pump here today. Took it to the 1000 gal stock tank tossed in the intake hose fired off the motor and the water was pretty much GONE!!!!!!:-laf Oo. :-laf

FIL and Son said that's one HELL OF A SQUIRT GUN!!!! :-laf :-laf Ya it wasn't even that far off idle :D

IF that's the series of JD motor I think it is, watch the injectors for leaking compression... . There is just a bolt holding down a steel laminate tab that holds down the injector, and they get loose, the injector gets loose, and it pops out, breaking all the fuel lines in the process!!! Also watch the turbo for oil consumption!! I had several of these in sprayers and two backhoes, and I don't care for them, much!!
