Competition Huntington, PA Truck Pull

This is my first time at the track with an auto. My old 02HO pulled 16. 4 w/ EZ.

Actually I ran 15. 037 @ 88. 3mph but im sure I can get 14. 9 for when its less hot and more runs under my belt. I had a 1. 951 60 foot.

Aside from my sig I switched to my 285's and took off the tailgate and maunally shifted at 3400 and hit the lockup switch between 2nd and 3rd gear. 4X4 launch at 20psi and 2WD in 2nd gear.

All of this with my check engine light on????

So let me know what you guys think, like is my truck a strong runner or does it need some looking at (low power)???

Thanks

BigDan

Just as a point of reference, I saw a '04 6. 0L powerjoke crew cab short bed with the muffler cut out and an Edge Juice box run mid to high 14's @ an 800+ foot elevation.

I think your doing pretty good based on what I have read and witnessed.

I ran a 14. 07 in Boise, ID this last weekend. Corrected altitude was 5300' at the time of the run. 15psi launch, no lockup switch, and let the transmission shift. 7000lb weight with the driver, and tail gate closed. See sig for pickup details. All in all, I would say you are close to what you should be.

A week after buying my truck I ran a 14. 83 at 98. 7mph and I was way loose at the 330' mark talk about a ride I love it and that was with 10psi launch, I havent had a chance to spend more time with it on the strip
