I ordered my new injection pump today and the guy at the pump shop said that they send out all there pumps at 17 degrees. When i get my new pump I'll be running a100 plate, 90hp injectors, 4000gsk, and 191 dv's. With this setup wouldn't 17 be to much. I was thinking 15. 5 maybe. I am also still running stock head studs. Thanks guy's.

I'm no expert, but I think it may be a little of a PITA to start in the winter if youre in a cold climate.

Your setup sounds like it's gonna ROCK!

what turbo you running?

Eric

I'm running a stock turbo with the wastgate plugged, and a stock clutch. Hope I can get it out of the driveway before the clutch goes out.

If you think 17 is too much simply slide it back to 15. 5 degrees. I'd just go for 16. Timing should be verified with a timing kit during installation anyway.

Not at all actually. .

I have run mine at 20 degrees for the last couple of years and it will crack right off in the coldest of nights with zero issues. I drive my truck all winter and it sits outside unplugged at work and when I get back in,slide the key in,cycle the grids and she is ready to go.

Now with that said and him having no head studs or orings and a stock charger I would not go more than 16 degrees and at that he is living on the edge with a "100" plate. If the shop your getting the pump from is pinning it at 17 it makes the install alot easier that way. Motor on TDC,lock her down, out with the old and in with the new..... Andy

P. S. -Are you changing the parts in a pump you ordered from a pump shop,or am I reading the wrong?.

I was running the 4000 springs and the 100 plate in the old pump. I'll be switching them into the new pump. I have ordered the 191's and the 90 hp injectors. I'm expecting a big change. Any idea's of what kind of hp it'll be puting out? I'm thinking about leaving the stock plate in untill i have the funds for another south bend.
