I just wonder about that question... first we have all these folks getting presidential pardons with *contributions* in question... then we get a sub that kills high school kids and fishermen, with civilians at the controls..... then we get CIA agents selling secrets to the Russians. Whats going on here?
About the sub topic... I thought all this cat and mouse submarine stuff was double-secret... and they have 'local businesmen' on board? On our $900million boat??? OK , now I want my ride (I am a tax payer, you know!)... I'll take a ride with the Blue Angels, I'd like to run an A-1 Abrams around for an hour... I'd kinda like to blow up some stuff with some high-tech gizmo... . OH! how about a 2 hour canyon run in an Apache!!! yeah baby! Oh wait, Im not a rich tycoon or a 'local businessman'... nevermind.

Hey, when I was in the service, military personnel would be in trouble if cought operating any equipment they weren't assigned to but with the commander in chief we had what can you expect.

the worst-case-scenarios of capitalism. (I like capitalism, but, there are more and more corporate-level and middle mgmt level people who have bought into "something for nothing", which is economically unsound)

The logical endpoint goal of capitalism(honestly unreachable, but theoretically possible when honesty is factored OUT of the equation) is a situation where gross profit equals net profit... an income with no expenses... espionage and sales of someone else's secrets comes the closest to that, mathematically. the "expense" happens if the perpetrator gets caught. at that point, the expense (one's very life!) becomes ultimate, and the profit becomes less than zero. until then, it's a high-profit ride. I suspect that teflon-willie and that femalesque being with which he lives have been in the pre-catch glory days for too long.

America is not for sale, the nursing homes own it all. We have 92 counties in my state, and in all but 7 counties, the nursing homes own more property than any other person/group. Its sad to see people work their a$$ off all their lifes just to have either the government or the nursing homes take it all away. The thing that is the most upsetting about that is, when things like Christmas roll around, you never see any of those nursing homes helping the community out. The last time I was in one visiting, all the residents were eating a bowl of tomato soup with a half piece of toast. Thats what they get in return for signing over all their worldly possesions. What a deal. When I get old, I think I will crawl out in the woods and let the goats eat me.

Just some random thoughts on a stormy Saturday night.

Our goverment needs a wakeup from the top down. These were wealthy friends of Bush from what I understand. And Clintons pardon fiaso continues to go on and on and on. I wish they would just throw his a$$ in jail or let him go into obscurity or both. And don't get me started on what the pentagon is doing. These idiots are out of control. Now there all whining because Bush didn't write them a blank check imediatly!Good for GW!I hope they look it over carefully.
