After having my 315's slashed a few months back, I decided its time to get some bigger tires... again. However this time I thought about maybe purchasing the 35 inch super swampers. Is anybody running them? or has anybody had them on anything? I am curious about ride quality, noise and if they balance worth a darn. Thanks.

I run Swampers on my Jeeps. I couldn't imagine running them on my tow rig, but everybody uses their truck differently.

There's several types of Swampers. Which are you thinking of getting and what are you going to do with the truck?

I was looking at the radial SSR series. They seem to be the most "friendly" type of swamper. The tires would be purely for looks, the truck is a daily driver and sees a little towing and a little off road use.

Take the following for what it's worth, becuase I've never owned a set of SSRs myself.

I think the SSR would be OK. I used to daily drive on the TSl radials before the SSR came out. I liked them. They hummed when I went down the road, but it was a nice noise. I've ridden in a friend's Jeep with SSRs, they made the same noise. He uses his Jeep off-road and it gets trailered a lot, so I couldn't even take a guess at how they will wear.

ive done the same thing since 95 (last set of swampers),, run the bfg mud terrains people ive talked to werent getting much more than 30k out of them. ive never got less than 50k w/bfg's

the tire is just too soft of a compoud for extensive highway use, unless theyve changed in the last year or so?
