Any where in BC is Beautiful.

Vancouver Island,

If the little woman likes flowers take her to Butchart(sp) Gardens on Vancouver Island, I figured I would have blown my brains out in the first 10 minutes but it is nice to look at.

There is a great Orca Whale watching tour we took out of the Inner Harbour in Victoria, use the ones that have the zodiac boats. Spend some time in Victoria very nice city to just walk around and enjoy.

Head out to Tofino or Ucluelet, and do some fishing? Or the hiking camping thing. Beautiful drive but fill up in Nanaimo or Port Alberni before you head out.

Vancouver, is a large metropolitan city, nice to visit; other than the people are friendlier there than most places it is the same as most other big cities.

Whistler has some nice mountain biking trails in the summer.

Head on out to Kelowna, Kamloops, area loads of camping, hiking, mountain biking to be had. If you go that far East head on over to Banff National park. There are so many Elk there you need to carry a club to wade through them.

BTW Congratulations!

BC is great. I like going out east. Get out past Kamloops, Nelson, and Banff. Lots of mountain, rivers, campground, and FISH.

Going up farther north is supposed to be nice and remote but I haven't make the drive.

Northern BC is incredible but quite a trip. The Rockies between Ft. Nelson and Watson Lake are beautiful. The Cassiar Highway is incredible.

Bob,

Funny, I was thinking that San Felipe would be a perfect place to honeymoon! ;)

Seriously though, Steve's hit the highlights. Vancouver Island, Victoria and the Gulf Islands are my favorite places in the province to visit.

I don't know what kind of dirt-biking you do, but my wife and I both ride and race cross-country events and hare scrambles up here. I know all the really good offroad areas to ride. Give me a PM if you want more info. Heck, if the schedule works, we may even be able to take you on a tour of one of the event sites.

Dave

ps. Congrats on the wedding.

British Columbia has some of the best natural scenery in the world. In addition to the other suggestions, you can take a ferry form the northen end of Vancouver Island at Port Hardy and go up the inside passage to Prince Rupert and see some absolutely unspoiled magnificent scenery. The ferry ride takes 14 hours. From Prince Rupert you will drive east to Prince George and from there you can go south to Quesnel, Williams Lake, and down the Fraser Canyon to the Fraser Valley and on to Vancouver. If you would like to do some salmon fishing then Vancouver Island is one the best places.
