Is it easy to add a power plug to the console?

I thought I was living large using the cig lighter to power my radar detector and the 2nd power plug for the CB. Then I took a trip over the weekend and realized I needed one more power source to charge my cell phone. My truck didn't come with the 3rd power plug inside the console. How tough is it to add aftermarket? Is it just something that snaps in and connects to an existing quick connector, or will I have to wire in a circuit? Thanks.

Maybe you should try hard-wiring the radar detector. You can mount it up top and wire it so it comes on with the ignition then you won't have to worry about killing the battery and you can turn it on/off when you want. I did this on a previous vehicle and it is so much nicer than having that curly wire getting in the way. You could also do the same for the CB, just remember to use the proper fuses. Just a thought.
