Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Is it possible to change 2X4 to 4X4

Hi TDR members and moderators,



I'm wondering if there is any way to convert my 99 4X2 to a 4X4.



Has this been attempted and if so how stable is the conversion? If It's possible will I be plagued with mechanical problems or not?

It might be a smarter idea to look for a 4wd truck.

It can be done (anything can be done given enough $$$) But you would probably have to buy a doner truck to do it. You would be money and time ahead to sell the 2wd truck and buy a 4x4 truck

All I can say is that it sucks to be me. I only have need for the 4x4 for a few jobs but those are the jobs that can build a reputation when done right.

If it were possible to do, within a reasonable budget, I might still have my '01.



Buy yourself a 4x4, instead.
