Is it possible to swap in a aisin into a 2012 3500 that has a 68rfe?

Possible? Yes.

Reasonable? No. There is simply too much that has to change (or be specially fabricated). You would need an ECM that is set up to work with the Aisin trans, plus the proper standalone TCM for the trans. You would need a new wiring harness as the old one won't have the proper circuits or connectors. You may need a new transfer case, since I'm not sure that the mounting pattern (and angle) on the Aisin match the 68RFE. And if the Aisin is a different length than the 68RFE (again, I'm not sure, but good bet it is different) then you'll need new propshafts, and possibly a new rear crossmembet as well. The list goes on and on.

If you want an Aisin trans, then sell your truck and buy one with an Aisin. You will save yourself a lot of headaches and $$$$.
