2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Is it possible to take the 194 Bulbs out of the Sockets in the instrument Panel?

I tried, but it looks like the bulbs are soldered in. I want to put all LED's, and it is frustrating me to the point where I am about to blow a head gasket! is there a secret to removing the bulbs, or Is there any place to buy the little light sockets without lights already in them? someone has had to have attempted this as well. . help me out y'all!

i too am wondering about this... . I havent yanked mine apart to look yet, but I want to put blue LEDs in there to see what it looks like.

The bulbs DO NOT come out of the sockets... I have a buddy that works at an autobdy shop who had some sockets with no bulbs, the new bulbs fit right in to the sockets.



I changed out mine with red bulbs!

Couple of places you could try would be Newark electronics or Mouser electronic supply. Both places supply the industry with parts.

yes u can take them out... but u have to use a bulb with a wire on the end to reinstall then into the sockets. ull see when u look at them.
