'92 6bt into a '90 Blazer?

cruise control for conversion

i think anything is possible. having owned an m38a1, and haing done a 4bt swap, i wouldnt like it. you would have to lift the truck to have room for the 4bt height. its weight is a considerable issue too.

i wouldnt do it in, but i have seen them in a yj, but thats a laerger jeep.

It is BIG

:)

With a 4BT in the hood of a early bronco, the hood won't close.

That is a tall engine.

You'd have to have a lot of lift, body lift and that 4BT would still stick out the hood. And you'd need serious overdrive.

With 3:50 gears and 1:1 transmission --35" tires, wide open 2500 RPM is 74 MPH.

I had 5:38s in my little jeep.

Go for it.

There is a picture of a flatty in Petersens 4wheel & offroad this month with a 4B in it. It is just a pic of it on the trail, but the caption says it has a 4B and it has a small Cummins logo on the hood. They said a shop in Lewiston, MT built it, don't remember the name of it though.

Shop is called advanced frame works, they are in Lewistown, MT. They build anything you want, it is a nice place. They build full production replacement Jeep frames and other vehicles like bronoc's land cruisers etc.

I saw the jeep you're speaking of a while back, nice work to say the least, There are quite a few in Montana running 4bt's in them, most have aftermarket frames in them though.

I know it can't hold a candle to a 4BT but...

Looks as though I'm going to be aquiring an m38a1 soon myself. I originally wanted to put a 4BT in this one too, but decided that the weight and torque would be too much for that poor old frame. :( So I think I've pretty much settled on either a Toyota 2LT or 3L mated to an SM465 which is going to be mated to the original Dana 18 transfer case with a Warn overdrive.

Stay tuned for further details!
