Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Is it too late to switch to synthetic oil?

I have always ran Rotella T 15w-40 since it was new. I have 97,000 miles on the clock and have been thinking of switching to Rotella T 5w-40 synethetic. Anyone see any issues of switching?

You would be well broken at 10,000 miles and if you aren't leaking or weeping oil you will be good. If you can switch to the fleetgaurd filter.
