DHRA in Indy...?? for a first timer

Diesel Jeep Liberty

I drove a 6. 7 yesterday and fell in love with it (should have never drove it). Anyway now i am wanting one cause i am sick of shifting... Auto would be nice... .

Now the question is, is it worth doing... . Here is my situation...

I have an 06 (in the sig) and i am kinda tired of shifting and that new auto/motor i thought was very nice... .

I owe 29k on my current truck at 1. 9% interest for 60 months and i 45 months left til its mineOo. ... . They can get me into that new truck for the same payment as i have now but of course i will be oweing a little bit more and i will have a little bit higher of an interest rate and i would be starting over as far as the term goes... ... Would it be worth getting the new truck or staying with what i have?

Its kinda hard to let go that 1. 9% (thats basically free money)... . Just wondering what to do here as i really like that new auto... .

The old man always told me, "Never get the first edition. Let them work the bugs out before you buy. " All I can say is "Remember the brand new Navistar6. 0. " I know that the international isn't a cummins but it was a new first edition. ect... I would say the same for the 6. 7. Bran new engine. Not like the 5. 9 or the reworked 5. 9. Just my 2 cents worth.

My truck is getting to the point where things are gonna have to start going wrong pretty soon. Trucks don't last forever hauling like I do... grossing 40K+ every now and then, 35K regular. I was talking to a guy the other day who had gotten a new '06 a few months ago. He asked me if I ordered a new truck yet. I told him, "157K miles and only $700 in repairs". He responded, "If ya got a good one, keep it".

Do what I did keep the 06 (04. 5 in my case) and buy the 6. 7, but I would keep it manuel trans.

Well you didn't mention how many miles you have?

Are you just going to trade it in or sell it personally?

My advice... wait until the 4500 and 5500 come out... you never know you might want to upgrade to a large tonnage truck... I know I might :-laf

Some nice 19. 5 bling bling rims... . I need tires soon:cool: and such.

Also wait to see when Dodge comes out with better interest rates... . they will trust me..... they allways do.

at this point your loving your 06 but your impules on the auto and a 07, trying to justify the extra $$ I think at this point you might be better to wait for the new 4500- 5500, second to third year built 6. 7, 2500 and 3500 trucks and interest rates to be there for you. . when they start having 5 different trucks to sell... 2500, 3500, 3500 C&C, 4500 and 5500 trucks the interest rates will be nice and low :)

Hang a FOR SALE sign on your left side rear window and do your normal driving. That's the best advertising. If you get the right price, sell it and order a new one. If you trade it in, you will loose too much. I have no solutions for the interest rates.

I'd wait a bit and hold out for a 4500/5500 if you need it. I'm probably going to wait a year or two then buy a 4500/5500 auto.
