Is it worth it

I have a 92 W250 w/ 3. 54 gears and the stock automatic transmission. I am currently getting approx. 12 mpg City/16 hwy.



I was considering putting in a NV5600, but would like to know cost, trouble of doing a swap like this, etc. Also is it worth doing, will it improve MPG?

probably not worth doing due to the expense of the conversion. www.quad4x4.com has the kit for the nv4500 conversion and explains why the 6speed is a hard install. I think the difference in the last gear is . 75 vs . 73
