Any more news on the Jeep liberty/rescue diesels?

per gallon to get Valvoline PB Extreme http://www.valvoline.com/pages/products/product_detail.asp?product=103 there spec sheet... .





Help these specs are confusing to say the least - for example compare Viscosity @ 100 for PB of 14. 7 vs 15 for Shell..... there are other examples but I don't know what they mean... ... i. e. which way is better???

if you want to use a full synthetic use mobil 1 5w40 truck and suv formula. i have been running it in my 96 for 15000 miles now and it hasn't burned a quart yet. it is the same exact formula as delvac 1 but it is packaged for the average consumer. you can get it at your local walmart. you can run it all year long also. if you want specs give me your email and i will send it to you. it is clearly the best synthetic on the market.

I would argue that Amsoil 15W40 HD Diesel and Marine oil is better in climates where you do not need to go to a thinner oil in winter, but... the truth is it is all probably plenty of protection for our trucks. I think you would be fine with any diesel motor oil with the proper rating for our trucks. Someone else can chime in and provide the proper CH-whatever number that people need to make sure they are using.
