Is mirror broken?

I've got the towing mirrors on my truck. A friend borrowed it yesterday and was backing up and caught the right mirror on a tree (going backwards), it flexed it backwards (which I don't think it's supposed to do!). It didn't do any damage other than now the mirror won't lock in place anymore (forward & backward). I see a cover under there that looks like maybe it can access the hinge. Is this mirror broken or is something that can be fixed?

To the best of my knowledge the mirror will swing to the front of the truck. It may have gotten some "push" inward the may have broken something. Not sure how hard to fix but oh well.

It may be to late now but I have a mirror assemply with out the mirror and power motor be glad to ship it to you if you will pay the shipping. Should be able to take two and make one out of them. pm me if I can help.
