Just installed my gauges and a-pillar mt. They look great however my boost seems low(unless its because of e. g. r. restrictions, see signature). I dont read anything cruising in o. d. at 60 m. p. h. on a flat road. It will go up to about 2-4 psi if I get on a little grade. I can get it to 20 psi at wide open on a flat road. What does anyone else think?

My 12vers read 3-5 crusing on the flat no load. I can't get them to read as high as 20 on a flat w/o load, but with a hill or load they will go 30+. If your boost gauge is teed into the wastegate tubing it will give those sort of inacurate readings.

Sounds about right. I don't get much boost on flat road cruising about 60. At least, I don't think, I haven't cruised at 60 in quite awhile #ad
Maximum boost stock was 18-20psi. I get 30 now.

My truck runs 6-8psi cruising at 60-65mpg
I drilled and tapped the air line just above the coupler with the clamps, behind my fuel filter (PrimLoc equiped)
meter is ISSPRO
check to make sure you did not pinch your tubing shut at a compression fitting, sometimes they will turn sideways and pinch the tubing if you overtorque them.

I've seen mine as high at 24 psi.
I dont remember what it runs at 60. I'm guessing 4-6 psi.
Different years will produce different boost levels.
Manual trans and auto will differ too.
Depends on your CPL #.

I also just installed boost and pyrometer gages from TST. There boost installation gage sheet says at idle and light load reading should remain at minimum. Unloaded vehicle at 55 mph on the level, boost should read 4-8 PSI. Boost should climb quickly to its max under full throttle acceleration. Max boost on a stock engine may be 16-25 PSI. If the TST Power Kit has been added, max boost can be 30 to 40 PSI. Hope this helps. Stephen's won ton dually in Sanger CA.

At normal cruising speeds 55-60 My truck usually gives me a reading of about 2-4 psi unloaded but when I get into it a little I can usually put right at 40 psi UNLOADED with a load on I've hit 42-44 but that's really getting in to it and really speeding.

Thanks for the input, guys. I installed it into the 1/8 pipe threaded port on the intake per the instructions fromTST,so the waste gated air isn't a problem. I'll check the fittings again,I had the one off at the gauge to re-route it,maybe i took it a little to tight going back on. By the way, there isn't a lot of extra room behind the A-pillar once you get all them wires and hose back there ,is there?Talk about 10lbs. of sh** in a 5lb bag,WOW!Thanks again.

jkh, you should really consider getting a non egr manifold, it'll smoke way less, have around 8psi more boost and much better gas mileage and better egts. They cost around 48 bucks at dodge if you know someone there, if not they are around 80. I will never bomb an egr truck again without having one.
Adam

Thanks Adam. I'm in the process of doing that. I checked on Friday at my local Dodge dealer,it's $115. 00 plus a gasket here on the east coast. I tried at a Kenworth/Cummins dealer but he needs the engine number from a non-egr engine to get the part # and I don't have access to one. Can someone give me their engine #(plate on drivers side of engine)from a non-EGR engine? Thanks!

Hey Adam you will hop up anything I know if there is nothing else you will even hop up an EGR truck. LOL Hey jkh I will dig up the Cummins part # for you tonight.

Remember, Boost and engine loading go hand in hand. You won't make much boost if the engine isn't working very hard. #ad
