On my first one, the rubber seat came loose, second one exactly like yours, the third one just didn't act right. bg

Amazing.....

My second one did that too. My first one was the faulty ones dodge put in the early 24v's. So for the third one's a charm.

Different #s

They list two different thermostats in the

TSB. Which is which? bg NOTE. 05015708AC IS TO BE USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THIS SERVICE BULLETIN. USE THERMOSTAT 05015708AB FOR ALL OTHER 24 VALVE CUMMINS THERMOSTAT REPAIRS NOT RELATED TO THIS BULLETIN.

Tejas, I drove a 1990 DC for 13 years and had thermostat problems on about the 8 th year. Went through 3 of them before I got one that worked. I purchased mine through NAPA and they did back them up. Unfortunately, the one I left in the truck had a wide swing, from cold to the top of the "safe" line. I guess I just got tired of putting the darn things in! I think you could say I never did find a good one like the OEM.
