I put a new head on my truck and started to hear a knock almost like a rod knock but quieter. Everyone that listened to it said its not a rod knock and not to worry about it. So, I took the truck on two trips and the knock seems to get quieter and louder at times. I hear it in gear or at idle in neutral or park. On my first trip when the light changed I gave it a little throttle and it didn't do anything. I gave it a little more and it was like it caught all of the sudden and took off. It has done this 2 or 3 times since. on my last trip when I got back to town and was sitting at a light when my truck started gently bouncing almost like it was trying to move forward when stopped with the brake peddle pressed. I backed my trailer up the driveway and when my foot was off of the throttle and the truck was idling the bounce was back again but a little bit more pronounced. The bounce at the light was very slight.

Does anyone have an idea what is going on with this thing. I am starting to regret purchasing this truck more and more every day.

I don't think it has very much power even with all of the parts I have on it. my duramax would walk its dog and it was only 330hp and 660ftlbs

I was thinking that but it was built by Goerend and it only has about 12,000mi on it. That wuld be good news because it has a lifetime warranty.

Upgrading to an aftermarket converter is Ok for a stock hp engine but when you add horse power you need to beef it up some specially if your pulling a trailer behing you.

I would suggest adding an aftermarket valve body so the TC gets more fluid pressure. Also reading old artcles in the TDR it seems going to a low stall TC will help alot. (Which you mite already have)

Check the injectors, you might have a leaker. At idle (when it's knocking) crack them one at a time and see if the noise goes away or if you crack a line and DON'T notice a difference in the way it's running. Be careful - high pressure fuel (20,000 psi) can really mess you up.

If your truck feels slower than you old one, either something's wrong (like timing) or it just doesn't feel as fast. It should be.

you sure it's not the fuel pump doing some knocking , tighten up the relief valve spring in the p-pump and see if the knock goes away . your performance would be down if your not getting 30 psi to the P-pump
