My truck has been stumbling at different times over the past few months. The poblem comes and go's so It has been diffucult to pin point. At cruising speed I will lose all throttle response, pump it a few times and it comes back. Thought it was the waste gate so I blocked that off and the problem went away for about a month, now it is back but much worse, I also recnetly changed the TPS with no luck. I have unplugged my tapped wire for my DDUFM/edgecomp, and turned off my commander. Truck starts fine, idles fine, there is a loss of power. I have 15psi idle and 13cruise with my LP set up. My LP has died in the past but usually caught it right away and changed pumps. This problem also increases up hill especially towing 5er. Thought it could be heat related because when it was happening in the past it was 100 out, now it is only 40-50's. Any input would be greatly appreciated, and also the best aftermarket VP opinions. Hey Bob, good to hear from you I have'nt been on here in awhile. Well I have done that and no codes what so ever. I just ordered a scanner will be here Friday see what that does for me. Truck ran fine this am and tonight coming home from work, air was much cooler than yesterday when my truck was doing it real bad. But it still was not hot out. I did notice though a little loss in power, but of coarse I did unplug my tapped wire. I have new apps, new map, no boost leaks. Truck starts with a touch of the key, but I will also say today the idle did seem a little rougher than usuall for the first time. From what I have search and been told it sounds like VP????? I was also advised that the codes will not always read on the dash turn key check, any truth to that. The last time before yesterday it did this was approx 2 months ago. Thought it was the waste gate so I blocked it and truck ran fine. THanks any input would be great.
 
Mine has been having an intermittent stumble for about 2 months. Boost drops and alot of smoke, usually in 5th or 6th gear.



I pulled the CAN bus cable off my edge EZ and it hasn't stumbled for 1 week. I sent the EZ off to Edge to be tested yesterday. We'll see what they say. If it tests good, then its VP44 time.



I've only got 44K miles, but my 5 years is up in March. So if the EZ is good I'll be starting a complaint file on the problem at the dealer well before March rolls around.
 
Well got my new scanner and hooked that puppy up and guess what NO CODES, as I figured. Used the scanner on a friends truck and came up with codes so I new I was using it right. Truck has been cutting out real bad last couple days. Only does it on the freway at cruising speeds, not at idle or acceleration. Starts fine, even idles fine Still does it even with the comp unhooked. Man this is starting to **** me off.
 
sounds like same problem i've been having, no codes till about week ago problem been for 3 months,changing lift pump this weekend and praying!!
 
Unfortunatly sometimes a failing VP will not leave a code..... We have gotten several trucks in lately that have had dead VP's but no codes, even after the pump was completely dead!
