Is Newmar still in business?

A friend said Newmar filed for chapter 11 but I didn't hear that it did. Is he confusing it with Nu Way? I'm not buying I like my 5er. Thanks

NuWa did not file a bankruptcy petition and is not in financial distress. NuWa CEO Mike Mitchell halted production for several months because dealer sales and dealer orders from the factory were too slow to warrant keeping the production line going. He has announced production will restart in June with 2010 models. See their website NuWa Industries, Inc. to read the announcement or read my post in the RV, towing, hauling forum.

I haven't heard or read anything about Newmar but have wondered also. Sales of the premium trailers have slowed even more than the less expensive units.

I called the factory with some questions last December. Everything sounded OK. I just visited the Newmar web site and saw something Ive never seen on a Fifth,"Dual Tandem Axles". Looked real nice.

I hope Newmar hangs in there. Was to be my next choice, either new or used.

They have been doing the dual tandem thing at least six years. bg

FOX News did a thing on Elkhart, IN. last week. Talking about how bad things were in the RV capital of the world. I wonder what they did with all the multi-millions they made off Katrina RVs hauled down there?
